I believe that Myspace has at least grown, and upgraded over the years. Minus, the not so great designs they have. However, at least they don’t have complete control over your Myspace, where you can’t even have a design on it at all. I mean then people would be furious at the situation. Although, there are sites like Sketchfirm.com that offer assistance in that area. So why have a Myspace layout that looked like a bomb off? I think less is more when it comes to peoples Myspace. Mainly because no wants to wait thirty minutes until the page has even loaded

I agree with all of the above. We programmers definitely *are not* good at user interface design, and unfortunately most of us don't even make much of an effort (which is probably why we aren't all that good at it).

I've never liked MySpace, be it stylistically (bland default layouts, as you described), programmatically (chock full o' bugs!), or navigationally (close to nonexistent). But the part that irritates me the most about MySpace? It became popular without doing anything new.

Heck, I only even *have* a MySpace account because of Danielle :P

Precisely why I have never joined MySpace. Plus, people hack into it all the time. Facebook was my favorite, but the new plethora of add-ons is beginning to clutter up the previously designed setup.
